Christmas in the Villages of Palaia, Forcoli, and Montefoscoli: Tradition, Community, and Magic

“Christmas is that magical moment when even adults become children again, and children dream a little more.”

In small villages, this spirit is even more alive: lights switch on, streets fill with scents, smiles, and events that bring back the beauty of being together. In Palaia, Forcoli, and Montefoscoli, the Christmas season reconnects with the community’s roots and turns every corner into a place of gathering, tradition, and wonder.

Throughout December and until Epiphany, the three villages offer a rich calendar of events for all ages, blending culture, festivities, and community participation.

FORCOLI

In Forcoli, the Christmas atmosphere begins on December 7 with “Let’s Light the Tree with Father Christmas”, an afternoon for families featuring entertainment, letters to Santa, music, sweets, and mulled wine in Piazza Brunner.
From December 8 to January 10, the traditional Artistic Nativity Scene by Massimo Brini returns in Piazza Sant’Antonio.

On December 13, two cultural events await: animated readings in the library with the book “Christmas in the Heart” and the musical performance “Christmas Enchantment: Mozart and the Magic of Music” by the “Il Pentagramma” Academy.

On December 21, at the Nuova Primavera Sports Centre, Christmas takes shape on ice with the show “White Christmas”.
On December 24, Father Christmas delivers gifts directly to homes in the village with the traditional door-to-door visit.

On December 26, along the path leading to the Parish Church, the evocative Living Nativity Scene comes to life, while on January 5 the Befana will visit local children with her classic doorstep delivery.

MONTEFOSCOLI

From December 8 to January 6, Montefoscoli transforms into a widespread nativity village with “Montefoscoli: A Nativity Scene of a Village”, a route of installations created by residents and displayed throughout the streets.

On December 8, tastings and activities for all return with “Buon Natale e DolceFoscoli”.

On Christmas Eve, December 24, Father Christmas will visit families for door-to-door gift delivery.
On January 6, at the Museum of Rural Civilisation, the thematic living nativity “The Nativity – Homage to Tintoretto” will be staged.

PALAIA

Palaia opens the festive season on December 14 with “Merry Palaia – Christmas in the Village”: markets, Santa’s village, workshops, music, mulled wine, and activities for all ages, organised by the CCN Palaia and local associations.

Here too, on December 24, Father Christmas will bring gifts directly to homes.
On January 5, it will be Befana’s turn to deliver her traditional stocking, while on January 6 the Don Vegni Theatre will host the free concert “Barbari Suzuki”.

An Invitation to Experience the Magic of Christmas

With nativity scenes, music, shows, readings, tastings, and special doorstep visits, the villages of Palaia, Forcoli, and Montefoscoli offer a Christmas filled with emotion and tradition.

May these weeks be an invitation to slow down, meet one another, share moments, and let yourselves be enchanted.
The Administration warmly invites residents and visitors to join in and experience the magic of Christmas together.
